On Monday 20th November, ARUP published the findings of their investigations into the structural integrity of the four Ledbury Estate tower blocks. On Wednesday 15th November, Ledbury Action Group attended Southwark Council’s Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting to hear an update on the estate from Cabinet Member for Housing Cllr. On Thursday 16th November the new updated Ledbury Estate motion was passed unanimously at the Camberwell & Peckham constituency party meeting. The motion is now due to be debated in Bermondsey and Old Southwark and Dulwich and West Norwood constituencies.


Council leaders promise once again to keep Ledbury 100% council
At the first hustings ahead of the May 2018 local elections, members of the Ledbury Action Group once again asked all the candidates to publicly commit to keeping the land on the Ledbury Estate 100% Council Homes at Council rents for the future and asked that this pledge would additionally be made in their upcoming manifestos. 3 month delay on new local homes causes further misery for Ledbury residents
